The Fight Against Our Malnutrition Epidemic
Lower nutrient density
It's a fact that much of our food today is lower in nutrient content than in previous generations. (1,2) The food we eat has become more calorically dense with less nutritional benefit. To get enough of the nutrients we need, we need to eat more—which has implications to our wallets, waistlines, and overall health. (1) We believe that the solution to our modern day nutrition crisis lies in regenerative agriculture and we've devoted our cause to supporting farmers who value and follow regenerative farming practices. Less food diversity
Over the last 100 years, there has been a major loss in crop biodiversity and the variety of foods we eat. An alarming 90% of crop varieties have vanished due to the rise of monocropping—with rice, corn, and wheat crops dominating agriculture. Out of the 6,000 consumable plant species cultivated for food, only 9 species account for 2/3 of total crop production. (3) This shrinking biodiversity poses risks to our health, the environment, and the security of our food supply. We aim to address this by providing more plant and nutrient diversity to your diet.
Uncertain food accessibility
In today's fast-paced society, people increasingly rely on processed and ultraprocessed convenience foods as a faster and easier alternative to buying and preparing meals. Consequently, fresh produce is being replaced on store shelves with lower-quality items that offer minimal nutritional value. And in some regions, high-quality produce may be entirely inaccessible for much of the year. Our mission is to help you incorporate more nutrients and diversify your daily food intake through a convenient, delicious, and functional beverage.
